1. Orientation Day
To learn more about the traditions and history of India as well as the surroundings of your work placement, we are organizing an “Orientation Day”. On this day, the volunteers get introduced to the organization, team, host family, Indian cultural considerations, women’s situation, working areas, workshop for teaching methods and local sightseeing.

2. Cultural Workshops

To relax after work as well as to learn more about India we are offering workshops. The cultural workshops consist of Indian cuisine, Indian dresses, Henna making and its importance. So the volunteers have the chance to learn a lot more about Indian living, culture and cooking. These workshops are organized in the afternoons and evenings in your free time.

3. Volunteer Work
While volunteering you will share your time, enthusiasm and knowledge with people in need and get a lot of experiences in turn. We are providing a lot of varieties of volunteer work. You can choose in which project you want to participate and where you want to volunteer. Our projects are focused on education, child care, non formal education, community awareness and women empowerment. Look here to see all the projects. Usually, the volunteers are working five days a week, four to five hours a day.

4. Excursions
While participating in our program, you will also see beautiful places of India and go on excursions. All excursions are dependent on the location where you will work. Volunteers for Rajasthan will go on a camel safari with an overnight stay in the desert as well as visiting the TajMahal. Volunteers for Himachal Pradesh will go on a trekking tour with an overnight stay in the mountains as well as visiting the TajMahal. During your free time, you can of course explore India on your own or with other volunteers.

5. Yoga lessons
For a good start to the day, you can participate in our Yoga lessons. They are offered 5 days a week in the morning time before breakfast. One session will be around an hour. The lessons are not only for experts; do not be shy to participate if you have never done Yoga before! You will feel more relaxed and calm during the day.

6. Learning Hindi
Not all Indians (especially the children) can speak English properly. To overcome the language barrier, we can teach you how to speak and understand the basics of Hindi. So you can communicate better with adults as well as children. This will bring you closer to the people as well as to the country!

 7. Accommodation
You are accommodated in a host family to experience and live with the Indian culture. Please remember that you are living with an Indian family, so you will be having all the essential facilities, but no luxury! You will have an own room shared with another volunteer. Also you will have a private wash room.

8. Other Facilities
During your stay you are provided with:
